Teaching Methodology

Each teacher makes a detailed term-wise planner, which is a break-up of the entire curriculum, to be covered within an academic year. Certain timescales and deadlines are set out. An Academic Supervisor monitors the achievement of the targets.

The teachers do not restrict themselves to the chalk ’n talk method only. In addition to delivering a lecture, the teacher also uses teaching techniques such as question & answer sessions, oral drills, blackboard drills, viva, etc. Objective type questions such as MCQ’s etc. are given special attention in order to enhance the students’ comprehension of the topic under discussion.

Teaching aids such as models, charts and multimedia are used, especially for science subjects. Laboratory practicals are conducted side by side. The students are always encouraged to raise questions while attending the classroom lectures, as well as during the practical drills in the science laboratory. Home task serves as a reinforcement tool.
